Wines from the Loire Valley are known for their exceptionality; with the stellar combination of varietal, soil expression and the wide ranges of wine that Loire is able to produce. Domaine Bourdin Chancel's vineyards have been in the family for five generations, most recently being watched over by Lydie and her husband Theirry. Lydie is in charge of everything in the vineyard while Theirry masters the vinification.
Their artisanal wine is made under natural practices and hand harvested with indigenous yeast. It is then aged for ten months in 'foudres' as well as in tanks for four months. The taste is incomparable because the wine is neither fined or filtered which projects the character of the wine.
